Donald Trump says he's considering military action in Iran as rights groups claim more than 500 have been killed in country-wide protests. Tehran's foreign minister has claimed the situation is "under total control".

The people are trying hard to take their country back in Iran, and it looks like it will happen for them, but it is likely that the US might have to step in and give the Iranian people some help against the tyrants who have controlled the country for all these years.
After the rulers shut down all the internet, Elon Musk helped to send in Starlink and turned it on free for the people there, so that they can use their phones with Starlink now, and he is also helping them to bypass the WiFi blockage that was set up to stop people from using WiFi.
This is a developing situation, and I am hoping for good end results. The American people are in support of Iran being a free country again, so we will back whatever support President Trump can give to them.

Will he pull a "Maduro"?

The rumors about the Ayatollah are all over the place, from what I have been reading. Some say he has left, some say he is hidden away in a bunker somewhere, and other rumors are that he was taken out, but it has not been made public. The people have burned down his house/palace, so he is definitely not there anymore.
I guess we just have to wait for more news to come out.

I listened to a commentator who is usually somewhat anti-Trump. He is perhaps converting. His commentary talked about Trump changing U.S. policy form "Nation Building" to "government influencing". In other words, he doesn't intend to take over a nation and rebuild it to put "democracy" in place, such as was the Bush policy for Iraq and Afghanistan. Trump doesn't care who is in power in a country if it performs to his standards. No troops or occupation forces in Venezuela. He just snatches an indicted criminal and essentially leaves the current government in place as long as it does things his was. It is fails, presumably something of a repeat will take place. When we went into Iraq and and Afghanistan, Israeli strategists recommending the same kind of thing for those nations, but the advice was ignored by the Neocons in power, and it became a very expensive failure, both in lives and money. The Ayatollah had a deep bunker, but both the Israelis and the Americans knew/know the location. They would have to destroy the bunker, just the access and air supply to the place. I don't know what is going on know, but it is said that Tuesday will decide the fate of Iran. We'll see how it goes. There could be another civil war there between the group that wants a return of the Shah (and his perhaps oppressive regime) and perhaps a "Free Iran' with an elected parliamentary government. The Crown Prince claims he wants a parliamentary monarchy similar to what is in place in Britain. We'll see by the end of the week I suspect.
