Bird Station - Which one looks better?

This is my bird station I built around 6 weeks ago it's currently not a busy bird station.
It has a large roof for the rainy days but I am deciding if to keep the roof on at all times?



I was also thinking of removing the large bird station and making something similar to this one check the picture below, what do you think? Let me know.

But here I think both squirrels and cats would put an end to things quickly. I seldom see the cats, but I do see remains of birds they tear apart. I have read that they are the number one destructive invasive species here.

I guess it depends on whether you have squirrels or not, @Smithy . I think that the one you have looks great ! And having a roof for rainy days is an excellent idea.
The other picture seems like a lot of different feeders to take care of; so it pretty much depends on if you enjoy watching the birds enough to take care of all of the different bird feeders. There are two squirrels hanging from the top feeder on the left side, so this person is obviously feeding squirrels , and I do not even see any birds there.
Here, some of the birds leave once the weather cools down, so the hummingbird feeders might not be needed year around if you have cold winters. And, as @Jacob Petersheim mentioned, it would make it easy for cats who were on the hunt for birds, so that is a consideration also.

I only seem to get 1 or 2 cats in the middle of the night and not in the daytime but I do keep my eyes out.
The squirrels eat from the tray and not the hanging feeders.

I don't get many squirrels either but in the winter it might change.

The first one is neat and beautiful. Good job. I would keep the roof on at all times. The second one is a little too busy. Btw, no need for a birdhouse near a feeder, unless it's just for decoration. Do you have deer coming by? They would "take care of" all the food here every night.

No deers in my town in England, UK.
Deers are only out in the countryside.
