Some forums like this have various badges and ribbons that can be earned by members. Do you think you'll make some sort of implementation like this?

I wouldn't... I always preferred members to post because they have something to say, rather than getting a reward of some kind. It kind of falls under that "Post counts are a leading cause of forum spam" thing. Know wot I mean?

On PC Pitstop there was a guy who was trying to pass the post count of our most prolific poster, who had 24,000 plus posts (after less than two years) and no matter what anyone said, he would reply "Word!" every time. I did a search under his username for "Word!" and found he had done it over 300 times. So I discussed it with the boss, and he said to deduct the number from his post count and put a stop to that. After that we always required "complete sentences", no one word posts.

You are exactly right about this, in my opinion, @Axel Slingerland ! These people who just go through and post a word or two on forums are basically just spammers, and everything they post is worthless.
I tried putting the spammer on ignore, but the way this forum works, you still get the notices, it just says “ignored poster” instead of their name.

I guess some forum owners do not mind the S-posters, because it adds to their total forum posts; but overall, it is just adding quantity, not quality; so banning the spammers will help the forum in the long run.
It is much better to have fewer posts, but ones that people want to read, than 100 1-2 word spam posts that make the whole forum look like a waste of time.
