Currently, no. When we moved in 48 years ago, there was only an imprint in the doorframe where one had been. Some kind of self contained ringer connected to a dry cell battery of some kind, I suppose. One of the first things I "ordered" by mail was a three piece brass mechanical doorbell. Our front door did not have a peep hole, so I drilled a hole in the center. The bell half was inside, and the twist mechanism on the outside. They were connected by a brass shaft. When we replaced the front door and side lites, that bell was retired, and never replaced.Do you have a doorbell?![]()
Back then it got a lot of use. It didn't take pictures, but on the other hand, it didn't require batteries. It was functional when needed, and decorative when at rest. The bell on the inside, made it easy to hear. It's unique. Did your doorbell get much use? I doubt most people now would know how to use that one. You'd have to provide instructions.
To paraphrase Richard Nixon: "I am not a dancer!" I did dance some at our prom, held at the Horizon Room at the Greater Pittsburgh Airport in 1960, so I guess my favorite dance would be the Waltz. But I also enjoy watching the "Cowboy Dance".Do you dance, if so whats is your favorite dance?

Only a few Westclox Scotty Pocket Watches from work years, along with a ladies Gold Accutron pocket watch on a chain, that was my choice for my 35th year working. It is my Wife's. She has 2 or 3 wrist watches also. 2 years ago, we upgraded to Seiko Solar Watches, and wear these exclusively. Yes, we have time on our hands! We also have a few kitchen timers that I fumble with occasionally. No egg timers or sun dials, to speak of.Do you have any mechanical clocks?..Do you still use them?

Nothing, that I would quantify as a 'Hobby'. I was a bookworm, and a Christian early on. I have always loved old books, vinyl, History, and old things made of wood. I loved words and enjoyed reading and a little writing. I enjoyed my first Gateway pc that came in 1997.What hobby's do you or did you have?

Over the years, my interests have not changed much. Work, Marriage & Family have added an extra dimension, along with my growing as a Christian. Along the way I picked up new interests. like the Civil War, Kennedy Coins, Taping original Star Trek episodes off the TV with a Cassette player (79 Episodes plus the pilot: "The Cage"). I always believed that a thousand words were worth one picture.
