Another Deadly Attack on Dallas ICE Facility

Dallas sniper had anti-ICE messages written on ammo; 2 dead, 1 wounded

The gunman who opened fire on an ICE van at a detention center in Dallas on Wednesday had ammo scrawled with the words “anti ICE,” the FBI revealed.

The shooting at the Dallas ICE facility, which left at least two dead and one wounded is being investigated “as an act of targeted violence,” the Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Dallas Field Office, Joe Rothrock, told a press conference on Wednesday morning.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said “violence is wrong” and “politically motivated violence is wrong” following Wednesday’s shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas, Texas.

“It was two weeks ago today that we saw a political assassination in Utah that tore the heart out of much of this country,” Cruz said, referencing the Sept. 10 assassination of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University.

“This is the third shooting in Texas directed at ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement ) or CBP (Customs and Border Protection). This must stop. To every politician who is using rhetoric, demonizing ICE and demonizing CBP – stop. To every politician demanding that ICE agents be doxed and calling for people to go after their families – stop,” Cruz said.

“This has very real consequences. Look, in America, we disagree. That's fine. That's the democratic process. But your political opponents are not Nazis. We need to learn to work together without demonizing each other, without attacking each other. And I want to say thank you. I want to say thank you to the brave men and women of law enforcement. I want to say thank you to the brave men and women of ICE and CBP, and everyone who puts their lives on the line to keep us safe. The divisive rhetoric, tragically, has real consequences,” Cruz added.

The person who did the shooting has been identified as an Antifa member. Antifa members have been attacking other ICE facilities and vehicles for a while now, but I think this is the first one where they have had a sniper attack and actually killed people.
I believe that Antifa is going to be designated as a terrorist organization , not only in the US, but in other countries as well, because of the violent attacks.

I’m not sure if it says in the article I posted but earlier it was reported that the victims were actually detainees being brought to the facility. They were in a van when shot so the shooter couldn’t tell detainees from ICE employees.

This supports the idea that Antifa is part of a fascist conspiracy despite the name. Just as many things, particularly on the Left are named or accused as the exact opposite of what they actually are, Antifa is one of those. The scrawled messages on the cartridges may be a copycat of the Utah shooter or it may be a pattern that is beginning in a similar way to how a swastika was once used. It is sad that anyone had to die, but at least it wasn't one or more of the officers who suffered.

Well, as I've said before, there's Liberals and extremist Antifa and Conservatives and extremist MAGA. I tend to stay aways from the extremists. As I said to Susannah earlier, there's too many screaming wingnuts for my taste.

Whoever said ICE is working to keep us safe, it's lying or is an ignorant on the political incentivized movement "to keep us save"
There are more kids dying on schools from mass shootings than working immigrants committing crimes.
I liked Trump, but he's doing very wrong this time. His ego mixed with power got him crazy (very dangerous situation for any nation)

Antifa has groups all over in the United States, as well as in Europe, and many of those groups have websites even. Check out RoseCityAntifa.org, as an example of a website.
It might not be what we designate as a group or organization (like Lions Club, etc); but probably most of the other terrorist groups do not have that written designation, either.
Any group that is attacking US citizens, burning down buildings and destroying property and vehicles is certainly not a peaceful organization. It is time these attacks were stopped.

Businesses in some cities have had to close down becasue of the antifa attacks. Even the original Starbucks in downtown Seattle closed its doors a few years ago because of the frequent Antifa attacks happening in downtown Seattle.
I do not see how anyone could think that these violent people are a good thing to be allowed to continue ? It appears that now antifa has firebombed the tour bus of the rapper, Ice Cube, thinking it was an ICE bus.

The school shootings are being carried out by violent leftists, mostly violent trans-people, at this point. This is a whole separate issue from the illegals who have taken over the country, @Mike30 .
Those “working immigrants” are people out driving large semi-trucks on our highways and killing people because they do not read or even speak English, and have no good idea how to drive those trucks.
They have come here either by illegally crossing the southern border, or some of them have been allowed in with a work visa, but either way, people are being killed on the roads because the foreign drivers do not know how to read road signs or drive on our major freeways.

The job of ICE is to remove the people who are here illegally, whether they are committing more crimes or not. Many of them belong to gangs from other countries, and have criminal records both here and in the country where they came from, and we do not need some other country’s criminals here in the United States.

Remember how they had Biden hide in his basement for his entire 2020 Biden-Harris campaign? Remember how they let BLM (Biden Loves Mayhem) do their campaigning? Remember we later found out that BLM was a shell of sycophants who got rich off benighted "contributions" laundered into their hands? Remember how Antifa was the core operation within BLM?

It isn't just Pepperidge Farms who remembers.

Anyone who believes there is no Antifa organization doesn't believe there is Mafia or drug cartels either. Tren de Agua doesn't exist either.

The closest thing to an real anti-fascist group in my area would be the local Veterans Organization.

As for Trump's vague, fuzzy definition:
The first serious flaw with this is that the designation doesn’t make a lot of sense: An administration can’t target a domestic terrorist organization if there is no actual organization. Antifa, to the extent that it exists, is made up of loosely affiliated anti-fascist activists. There is no budget. There is no membership list. There are no offices or headquarters. There are no staffers, leaders or board members.

At some level, Trump really ought to understand this: He announced more than five years ago that he was designating antifa as a terrorist organization, and the effort was a counterproductive bust.

The second problem is that the president is trying to use a power he does not have. As The Washington Post noted, “The United States has no legal mechanism for labeling domestic organizations as terrorist groups.”

And if one fact checks claims about school shooters being leftist, one finds no overwhelming political views involved. And if anyone has proof that President Biden spent four years in a basement, I would like to read that.

There are authorities designated to control this. Police, HWY patrols, Motor & Vehicle. Reminder. USA citizens who read English, read signs and drive semi-trucks also commit these crimes (what are we going to do with them? Could we deport them too? none of them are original from here either if you want to generalize)

This is not a whole separate issue, it's a security issue in our communities. The immense resources dedicated to ICE could also
be partially assigned to keep our kids safe. Where is the big movement/noise (as ICE) dedicated to keep kids safe??? If the main excuse of ICE is "to keep us safe"?...

They have come here either by illegally crossing the southern border, or some of them have been allowed in with a work visa, but either way, people are being killed on the roads because the foreign drivers do not know how to read road signs or drive on our major freeways.
The same, there are already assigned Agencies to tackle this problem. And USA citizens do this too, not just immigrants. I don't see the need to justify ICE with this. Blame those agencies for not doing their job.

I totally agree with you here.
But don't blame immigrants for all other internal problems of the country to justify ICE, because that's what the narrative of the media does.
