No, I don’t pay for advertisements.

However, I’d recommend trying out Reddit ads as there’s more forum users on there than Google.

A few people on other forums have said use Reddit for advertising.. I've never used Reddit.

The Reddit ads thing looks like a good strategy to get talkative forum members.

I have never run a paid advertisement for my forums but I have advertised my blogs through Google ads as well as facebook ads. I managed to get traffic and also generate revenue through ads.

Did the traffic from the Facebook ads convert to members? If so, how many members did you receive from the ads?

I never did when I ran a forum. There was always a group of people there posting so it seemed like a waste of money.

Now I run a blog and it makes no difference to me if it gets a lot of traffic or not so I definitely wont be paying for ad space anywhere. My signature on forums is the most exposure its going to get.

i havent yet but when i do i only do 10 bucks maybe i need to do more.
