That's the Way It Crumbles, Cookie-Wise

The new desktop arrived Tuesday afternoon. Windows 11 is not a whole lot different, just time-consuming tweaking it to act like Win 10, which I had already tweaked to act like Win 7. :) One all-nighter made the days run together this week. The only problem was getting the external speakers to...

Has anyone here been affected by tariffs?

Expecting a package mailed from Canada on November 14th. It spent 2 weeks sitting in Customs in Chicago. USPS tracking claims it left there 7 days ago but never got to another destination yet. I know it's near Christmas, but generally packages from Canada arrived almost as fast as if mailed in...

My newest strategy is to move this shoulder in every direction I can think of. When I find a spot where it hurts, I push it a little past that spot for enough reps it will be a little sore for the next day or two. Push it up to, but not past those spots for the next 2 days. On the 4th day...

King reveals 'good news' in his battle with cancer and urges people to get checked

That's great news Smithy. I like King Charles. He is representing your country well. Hope has many more years.

Our little area in Georgia made national news this week. We flipped a Republican seat in the State House to Democratic in a special election Tuesday to fill a vacated seat. The margin was only 197 votes. Turnout was very low. Our county votes heavily Democratic (60:40). After the 2020...

Good morning! This has been my breakfast for a few days. The jar was originally almost 2 lbs, or approximately 448, cookies. Apparently animal crackers shrink in size once the jar is opened.

    December on my Mind

Although they never really die, in December the Medicare Part C commercials begin to fade away. :D(y)

No, but I've lived in Athens since 1975. Originally from Ohio.

Overthinking got me into trouble today. I always leave the front screen door open when I'm expecting a package, because the delivery guys usually try to put packages inside the screened porch. I figure it saves them time, and most of them can't figure out how to open the door anyway. I should...

Walter Huston (John Huston's father) was one of my favorite old-timey actors, ever since I saw the movie Dodsworth (1936). He (Walter) won an Oscar for supporting actor in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. LINK

    TONY' THOUGHT JOURNAL 2.0

Augmentin is the only antibiotic I've ever been allergic to. I've taken amoxicillin for decades with no problem, so it must have been the clavulanic acid part. It just made my legs itch, and then the area would turn red, swell up and get hot. Nothing serious.

Since you have a lot of interviews in this thread, I thought I'd add this one of John Huston, the movie director. He and Raoul Walsh had some things in common---Mexico, racehorses, painting, and both were good story-tellers. In Chinatown (1974), even though he appeared only a handful of times...

The explanations they give on the internet of the cause seem a little strange. Did it start suddenly, like with an injury or surgery? Or just gradually? ( Or would you rather not discuss it. ;) ) I just wish you could get yet another opinion.
