    Warren Buffett On Retirement

You won't see anything of this on the MSM. They only report the negatives when they find them. I have seen some financial analysts predicting a 5% growth for GDP for next year, which would be incredible considering the size of the U.S. economy. We'll see... One major problem seems to be the...

What are you trying to accomplish with trees in your garden @Smithy ? Do you want fruit, flowers, or foliage?

Why does Trump want to take over Greenland - and could he actually do it?

The Venezuela operation was not unprecedented. A similar thing was done by GHW Bush with Noriega. The Maduro apprehension was done with much more skill. Reagan also did a small operation in Granada. I agree with most of what @Yvonne Smith posted above. Denmark "owns" Greenland but has done...

Pilots in Trouble, Saved By ATC.

A King Air is a really big airplane to start to learn to fly. Yvonne was amazingly clam considering the situation. She was very lucky there was enough fuel and that the instructions were so clear.

    What's bothering you right now?

@Krystal I started using a xylitol nasal spray available on Amazon to help with just that problem. Use it twice a day or more, and it seems to help immensely.

That's the Way It Crumbles, Cookie-Wise

I have a similar problem @Nancy Hart. The vent in the upstairs bath stopped working. I haven't had time or inclination to take it apart. We can't vent into the attic as the moisture would freeze and melt in the spring creating a terrible mess. We also can't vent through the roof as the snow...

    Baking Homemade Bread

Who knows what is true. You can try the long rise and see if it matters. We tried all kinds of grain to see if my wife was sensitive to them and they all caused a reactions, some more than others. Most medieval bread was baked in bakeries, not at home. They didn't understand why the bread...

Are we going to war with Venezuela?

The Maduro regime put out a hit on Rubio. I don't know if that was before or after his obsession came to light. It seems like it was a number of years ago while he was in the Senate. Rubio has a number of friends in Venezuela, one of whom is said to be the woman who was elected President.

To Build a Fire is a short story by the same author.

Are we going to war with Venezuela?

Maduro was negotiating with China and they had a team in Caracas when it was hit. Maduro had met with them earlier in the night. Maduro's bodyguards were reportedly Cuban, as he couldn't trust Venezuelans. There were also reports from Venezuelans in country that Iranian troops were also there.

I posted about the different types of cold. I call the humid cold "miserable cold", as it makes you feel miserable but doesn't endanger your life as quickly as the "real cold". Have you read To Build a Fire ?

Just think @Smithy you could be here now: -36 F./ -37.8 C. It is getting near the crossover point of -40 F./C.o_O

Are we going to war with Venezuela?

It was an amazing feat. Something the U.S. used to take all the power was special. When asked about it, he said it was "a secret power" whatever that means. Some think that taking out the power prevented Maduro from closing the doors on his "fortress". Stories abound.

Are we going to war with Venezuela?

One person said every other military on earth would have simply blown them up. Only the U.S. would risk forces to bring them to trial.

Are we going to war with Venezuela?

Sounds like it was an incredible operation. Imagine how many lives could have been saved had we done something similar to Saddam Hussein? Rumors are that Trump is in negotiations with the sitting Vice President of Venezuela. She was hand-picked by Maduro and installed, reportedly not elected...

That would inflate the Dollar and make any savings or IRA to 1/5 of the value today though. Would the rings make up for that?

Piers Morgan thanks New York for electing Mamdani

Sounds like Communism, doesn't it? NYC has lost 75 of the Fortune 500 companies they once housed. Texas and Florida are gaining from New York's loss. After those speeches, they might lose the rest. It would be easy to move to New Jersey or Pennsylvania, but I don't know if that would be...

    How's your day been today

I would like to see pure research, not profit-biased research. Did you try it on your skin @marie or internally? My grandson with severe eczema claims it helps his skin condition. People have taken it internally for years. I have used it as a skin oil, but never have taken it internally.

Piers Morgan thanks New York for electing Mamdani

Mamdani stated in his inauguration speech yesterday that he will replaced rugged individualism with collectivism. That sounds a bit like Lenin in the early days of the Soviet Union. Chants of "Tax the Rich" broke out in response. If the rich leave New York City, those chanters will b stuck...

    What's bothering you right now?

It helps many and probably helped me earlier in life. You can probably find videos on line that will teach techniques. You need to find a quiet place with no distractions, at least at the beginning. It costs nothing to try it.
