"As of May 2026, Dolly Parton, 80, has canceled her planned Las_Vegas residency to focus on recovering from ongoing health issues, including kidney stones and immune system imbalances. While she is improving and undergoing treatable care, she noted that medication makes her "swimmy-headed," preventing her from performing, though she continues to work on her Nashville hotel/museum and a Broadway musical."

Key Updates
  • Residency Canceled: The previously postponed residency at Caesars Palace (originally Dec 2025, then Sept 2026) is officially canceled to prioritize her health.
  • Health Status: Parton stated in a May 2026 video that she is "improving every day" and responding well to treatments for kidney stones and issues with her immune/digestive systems.
  • Current Projects: She remains active, working on her Nashville hotel/museum, a new Broadway musical, and managing her brand, noting she is still "working" just not on stage.
  • Quote: “Just think of me as like an old classic car. Once restored, [it] can be better than ever,” she said, assuring fans her conditions are treatable.

"Dolly Parton did so much in her life to help others. In her final days, I think she did one last thing that will help millions of people, if we pay attention to her warning and take action."

"Just four days before she died, Parton said that she was being treated for health problems that she “didn’t pay attention to when I was watching over Carl.” She was talking about the years she spent caring for her husband through a long illness. The interview moved on to her upcoming projects, and that line went by so quickly that most people missed it. As we reflect on her death, I think it was a clear wake-up call to America."
