Why does Trump want to take over Greenland - and could he actually do it?

Most of Greenland is excited about the United States taking over Greenland, and the prosperity that it will being along with the development of their country.
We have a law that natives can own gambling casinos, and it has helped the native Americans here in the states a lot. This will likely also apply to the Greenland natives, so if they build casinos up there, it could even become a vacation destination in the future, with casinos and big hotels.
This is a screenshot from a video, and the whole video shows a lot of the people welcoming Trump and wanting to be part of America.

Interesting things going on in Davos. Europe demonstrated their "military power" and their ability to deploy military by sending 30+ troops on a civilian airliner to "defend" Greenland. Everybody around the world is now laughing at Europe. How sad! No military plane, no in-air refueling, and "threats" to expel 70% of NATO out of the organization. Macron is wearing sunglasses allegedly to cover the black eyes he has gotten from his wife punching him. France is perhaps the biggest joke of them all. Russia and China are certainly being amused by it all. Trump has ruled out an invasion of Greenland, but says he "will remember what is done with Greenland". I suspect he will begin pulling troops out of Europe as a first step in addition to the escalating tariffs. No French wine or German cars coming to the U.S. will impact them greatly.

And there was also the Gavin Newsom fiasco. He paid to be able to go to Davos , which is supposed to be quite expensive unless you are the head of some country, and thought he was going to give a big speech.
He apparently was doing his usual thing of trashing President Trump, and they banned him from the USA part of the meetings, and cancelled his speech at the last minute. He had to sit in the back and watch everything, but didn’t get to talk.
Serves him right, in my opinion. People are wondering why he was even there in the first place.

President Trump has made the deal with NATO about Greenland and everything is settled now, once again with President Trump getting everything he wanted from the deal for the United States and for Americans.
It always works, just like Charlie Brown and the football . if Trump wants 10 of something, he says he wants a million of them, and he is going to get it one way or the other, whatever it takes.
The liberal news channels run with that and enlarge it to even more dramatic dimensions, and the whole world is caught up into whatever it is that Trump wants .
There are threats from the opposing people, and then negotiations, and finally, they offer Trump 100 of whatever it is, just to save face and end the negotiations.
Trump has whatever he wants , gets a good deal, and walks away happy. It always works. We have everything we needed from Greenland, and didn’t have to buy it to get what we want. Denmark still has to support the Greenland people, but we can build military bases and have mineral rights, which is what President Trump wanted all along.

I might speculate that China and or Russia has sites set on Greenland and Trump might be setting something up for Greenland with the US for the benefit of both, knowing what is going on there.

That's why we have bases on Greenland, to protect our homeland from the northern forces.
Ukraine is right inside Russia, and we have no problem suppling weapons to them, I just wish we'd all respect each other's neighbors both foreign and domestic.
Although nobody does that or really ever has. Then again I don't really know what is going on in this world, couldn't do a thing about it if I did.

Denmark has control of Greenland, but it is the US that Greenland depends on for defense, and Denmark really has no reason to have control of Greenland.
The concern is that Greenland is about to be taken over by China or maybe Russia, so it would be much better for Greenland to make a deal with the US instead, and we can actually help them to use some of the resources that they have and don’t use now (because they need help).

It is not like President Trump wants to go in and take over the country, which is what some reports are saying. We are in talks with the leaders in Greenland right now, to work out a deal that is beneficial to both Greenland and the United States.
Greenland is part of the western world, and Denmark is defnintely not even close to Greenland, and there is not actual reason for Denmark to have any say in what happens with Greenland.

This is the same thing as some people are saying about Canada. The US has no intention of taking over Canada either, but Canada has depended on the United States for defense forever, as well as other help we give them, like money.
Most of the Canadian population is close to the US border; so if Canada wanted to work out something with the US officially, I believe that we would work out something with Canada that id beneficial to both countries, too.

Good point's.

From what I hear we have military bases there, so I don't see us allowing Russia or China putting in bases.
What I don't understand is all the talk about ' security' when we have China buying up our farmlands close our military bases all over the nation.
We also allowed Japan to buy up our state parks from what I remember anyway.
