We had a light drizzle last night and I almost took out my new garage door from glare ice on the driveway! Be careful.

It is 63 here right now, and supposed to get up to 69 by afternoon. We will; be able to open up the doors and air the house out for a few hours today, I believe.
Should stay this way through Christmas, which is good. No rolling blackouts becasue it is too cold and people are using up the electricity with Christmas lights and cooking and keeping the house warm.

Started out sunny, though seeing that Sun rising so far South always seems weird.

Clouded over by 10 AM, holding now at about 35F. Advisory out for tomorrow, we expect freezing rain with ice accumulation to 1/2 inch.

Very little snow left aside from shrinking piles along pathways from shoveling earlier this month.

Lingering around freezing here, drizzle off and on. Light coat of ice on everything, just under a quarter inch. Went for the mail and on the way back even with my "stickiest" rubber soles I darned near took a fall on a slight pavement grade. Crunch along in the grass the rest of the way, I don't need any new problems to deal with.🦵

We are at 64F right now, and supposed to be in the 70’s over the weekend, and then really taking a big drop my Monday or so. I like the warmer weather, and we have even been able to leave heat off and open the doors during the warmer part of the day.

It is warming today. It is up to -1 F. and may go above 0 F. today with snow. We'' see. It will get cold again next week after the snow passes. It is nearing -50 F. in the interior at least it was at the beginning of this week and will get down there again next week I think.

Solid gloom here, sort of a thin fog in the air. Very light snow dusting much earlier, but now just above freezing. Not really damp, not dry.

Looks like we have expectation of a "bomb cyclone" coming over the next few days though. I'm South of the worst of this. We'll probably get rain, fast temperature drop, and then some Lake Effect snow. But to the North it sounds like blizzards and ice storms and very high winds.

As it passes to my East, Ontario will probably have levels of icing sure to cause widespread power outages. Maybe feet of snow in heavy Lake Effect regions like Buffalo, NY.

So rapid and intense. We'll just have to await its actual storm track as the system develops over the next 2 days.

You and I are on the same track. We won't get the "bomb cyclone" at all (warning Will Robinson!!!) But our warm December is over with cold (not horrible below zero cold) and snow coming in. I still have hopes of winter being over by March. :sneaky:
