Running Out Of Good Movies

It is getting harder to find a movie we like. Never been much into violence or horror movies, except some history or Spartacus in early 1960s.
We have watched a few classics lately 'again'.
Best more recent one was Man in a Chair starring Christopher Plummer and other classic stars.

This one was also good

Yes. Not many good movies anymore to watch. We watch/stream some tv series, but the quality of those shows are questionable too.

If you have not seen this one, @Marie Mallory , it is well worth watching. This is probably my all-time favorite movie, and I never get tired of watching it.
Here is the trailer. It is about a time warp enabling the father and son to talk over the father’s old ham radio, and change the future.

Thanks Yvonne, we just rented one on YT and had to stop watching it after a few minutes, too violent and full of cussing. Cop Land, lots of famous actors, what a crock!
I'll give this you like a look, soon as I get back from the exorcist, LOL.

I usually go for Action / Police Procedural type movies and TV shows. But recently a clip from this film on YouTube caught my eye... It's very well done.

I’d recommend watching Jack Ryan or Reacher if you haven’t watched it already. They’re both pretty good!

Oh yeah... I have several of the Jack Ryan movies and have both Reacher films and recorded all three seasons of Reacher. I watched the Amazon series at least three times. I liked the first season the most, but all three are good.

May watch them on a Heineken night. lol. thank you Cprv
You’re welcome! I recently started watching the Bondsman as well. It’s good too. I have a habit of pausing movies and going back to them when i’m on my phone🤣

A little too violent for me but thank you for suggestion.

Axel, we will watch Reacher now, hubby likes the trailer. Thank you I hope.;)

Small town New Mexico, 1959. One evening most of the town is at the big basketball game. Things get weird for those not at the game.

Interesting slice of the past. Young people might struggle with the unfamiliar here.

Interesting characters, dialog, and story. Excellent indie effort by a new filmmaker. Very good quality production.

One of my favorites. I love the way the tale is spun out to us.

Die Alone (2024) is a drama/horror, a twist on the over-tired zombie and pandemic genres. More drama and "What the heck is going on?" than horror, but it does have its gory bits. There is a big twist so I won't say much more... but you might have a good idea before 3/4 of the way through.

I saw it on Amazon Prime Video.
