What is going on in the UK!

Speculating wildly, I see analogies with what occurred in Rome happening across much of Europe today.

There was a major break with the Republic of the past and it "coincided" with mass immigration of Christians.

Rome changed from a republic to an empire in 27 BCE, when Octavian was granted the name Augustus and became the first ruler of the Roman Empire, establishing a centralized, autocratic government after years of civil war and the fall of the Roman Republic.
The first Christian emperor of Rome was Constantine I, also known as Constantine the Great, who reigned from 306 to 337 AD. His conversion to Christianity occurred around 312 AD after "a vision" before the Battle of the Milvian Bridge, which led him to declare his support for the faith and significantly change its status within the empire.

My focus isn't on religions per se, but what they represent as tools of power over populations.

Have to careful what I write dont want the police knocking on my door.

Police are arresting up to 30 people a day for facebook posts.

On the 13th of Sept there will be a mass march in London against these immigrants and Starmers Gov.

Might be the end of Starmer.

We'll see what if anything happens to Starmer. I was signed in to YouTube in the UK via my VPN, and low and behold I was watching a video and the screen pops up with "You must be signed in to watch this video". I am definitely not used to that level of censorship. We have some, but much of what we get is misleading propaganda known over here as "Fake News" by both (all) sides of the spectrum. I have heard some posters on various sites mentioning that they are posting for someone i the UK who cannot post it themselves. I am truly sorry @galty.

It is beginning to feel the way I had imagined life behind the Iron Curtain to be when I was a kid.

I'll admit that was a jumbled view based on a child's limited knowledge of politics and the world, "Free World" propaganda, and confused images of literature from Orwell and Huxley.

I have seen some American online people say they cannot visit the UK or even pass through Heathrow for fear of being detained for things they have posted online critical of the UK government. Really sad!
You can slag off the Goverment but.

Cant say any thing about Muslim.

Cant say anything about Trans people.

Cant say that you love bacon.

Unless an American citizen was actually in the UK and broke a law, I do not think they would be arrested for anything they post while living here in the United States, even if they went on a trip to England afterwards. Although if there was already a warrant out, then they might be arrested, like @galty mentioned about Elon Musk being threatened with prison. However, that is probably because Musk owns X, which is allowing the kind of speech that the UK is not allowing people over there to say.
I noticed President Trump was saying something about not letting Americans be taken by other countries, so maybe this is what he is referring to ?

Its said that he wrote these tweets when he was in America.

He not British he is Irish.

That is my understanding. Non-Britons who have criticized the UK government and its actions are being arrested if they set foot in the UK, even if they are just making a connection at Heathrow. The guy that was arrested was a comedian and comedy writer who wrote the comedy Father Ted about Irish Catholic priests . Even the Irish Catholic priest we know here thought Father Ted was hilarious. The series ended because the lead actor died.

Wonder if this will happen....hope it does.

I hope it all does change @galty but this could also devolve into something worse--a Secret Police entity of some sort. It seems that so much of UK policing relies on respect for the force and the officers since most reportedly are not armed. Loss of respect for the police would endanger the officers that routinely do the law enforcement. I think the only real solution would be to have a complete and radical change in the party in charge.
